Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member in good standing of the bar (in any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least one (1) years of experience as a licensed attorney (or post-law school graduation judicial clerkships), preparing for, participating in, and/or reviewing formal hearings or trials involving litigation at the federal, state, or local court level.
United States citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hiring for AUSA positions is highly competitive. Three (3) years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
The United States Attorney's Office is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney to serve as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Criminal Division.Assistant U.S. Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Criminal Division direct the investigation and prosecution of diverse federal offenses. The caseload encompasses, but is not limited to, a broad spectrum of criminal litigation, including violent crime, sophisticated financial fraud, public corruption, human trafficking, narcotics distribution, and national security matters. AUSAs are responsible for the entire litigation lifecycle, from providing legal guidance during the investigative stage to representing the United States at sentencing and asset forfeiture proceedings.
