Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant Baseball Coach to lead and inspire young athletes in developing their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching CATCHERS.
Duties
- Plan and execute baseball practices, drills, and game strategies tailored to various skill levels
- Teach fundamental baseball techniques, rules, and sportsmanship to players
- Monitor player development and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all athletes
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and positive behavior among players
- Assist in organizing team events, tournaments, and community outreach activities
- Incorporate additional sports or activities such as cheerleading, basketball, or martial arts when appropriate to enhance athletic skills
- Manage behavior issues using effective behavior management techniques
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is preferred
- Experience working with children or students in educational or recreational settings
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support positive conduct among youth athletes
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach and motivate young players
- Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism
- Background in health clubs or gyms related to youth fitness is advantageous
- Certification in coaching or relevant sports training is desirable but not required
