Qualifications:

In order to meet basic qualifications for GS-2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies defined below:
  • Attention to Detail - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant keeps abreast of latest technology, information, research, etc., to maintain knowledge in field of expertise (for example, reads trade journals, participates in professional/technical associations, maintains credentials).
  • Customer Service - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant promotes or develops and maintains good working relationships with key individuals or groups.
  • Oral Communication - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant serves on panels, committees, or task forces as a representative for the organization on technical or professional issues.
  • Problem Solving - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant monitors current trends or events (for example, technological, economic, political, social, educational, or employment trends or events) and applies the information as appropriate.
In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience.

GS-13: To be eligible at the GS-13 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.

Specialized Experience is defined as experience Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, analyzing and resolving network problems, monitoring network capacity, performance and functionality, implementing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and ensuring integration of all systems components.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. Responsibilities:

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for enforcing Federal Criminal and Civil laws that protect life, liberty and the property of citizens. Typical work assignments will include:
  • Establishing goals, objectives and procedures for staff and recommending formal promotions, awards and other personnel actions including disciplinary actions to resolve issues.
  • Managing network to include maintenance of servers, workstations, printers, switches, communication gear and other peripherals.
  • Evaluating work performance of subordinates.
  • Monitoring network capacity, performance and functionality, security and integrity of internet services. Configuring and maintaining servers, hubs, routers and switches.
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability.
  • Analyzing and resolving network problems. monitoring network capacity and performance.
  • Ensuring integration of all systems components. Managing network to include maintenance of servers, workstations, printers switches, communication gear and other peripherals.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Salary : $120,348
