What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds/Maintenance position at District Maintenance?
Applications are being accepted for an 8 hour Grounds/Maintenance position for Bellevue Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of grounds and maintenance functions. Typical duties include, but not limited to the following:
- Self-motivated and can work independently and the ability to prioritize projects.
- Must be able to analyze and solve issues regarding equipment, machines, and grounds.
- Must be able to communicate solutions to issues you may find to direct supervisor.
- Have a valid driver's license and willing to drive to different locations throughout the workday.
- Mowing district grounds.
- Snow removal throughout the district.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Repairing outdoor sprinkler systems.
- Ability to use common maintenance and construction tools.
- Ability to assist with smaller construction and cabinet work projects.
- Welding experience.
- Basic Mechanical knowledge and use of tools.
- Basic Carpentry Skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned. This position is subject to a verterans preference. Typical duty hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
