1. Position Summary
A Warehouse Associate for our Amazon reselling operation is responsible for the end‑to‑end handling of inbound and outbound inventory. You’ll ensure that products arrive, get processed, and ship out accurately, on‑time, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
Inbound Receiving
- Unpack and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Verify quantities and product condition; report discrepancies or damage
- Label and barcode all received items per company standards
- Update inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Storage & Inventory Control
- Store products in designated bin locations, ensuring first‑in/first‑out (FIFO) rotation
- Conduct cycle counts and full‑warehouse audits to maintain 99% inventory accuracy
- Investigate stock variances, reconcile missing items, and submit inventory adjustment requests
Order Fulfillment & Outbound Shipping
- Pick products according to Amazon FBA or merchant‑fulfilled orders
- Pack and label shipments using correct packing slips, box sizes, and carriers
- Schedule carrier pickups and drop-offs (UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight)
- Record shipping details and monitor for delivery exceptions
Returns & Quality Control
- Receive returned goods, inspect condition, and process through RMA workflow
- Re‑stock, refurbish, or prepare for disposal per company policy
- Flag recurring product issues and liaise with sourcing or vendor teams
Warehouse Maintenance & Safety
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts* if certified)
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, proper lifting techniques, and spill control
- Participate in safety drills and report any unsafe conditions immediately
3. Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy (WMS, Excel, handheld scanners)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Physical stamina: capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods
4. Preferred (but not required)
- Forklift certification or experience with powered industrial trucks
- 1 year of warehouse experience, preferably in e‑commerce or FBA operations
- Knowledge of Amazon Seller Central logistics and FBA workflows
- Experience with cycle counting, quality‑control inspections, or returns processing
5. Performance Metrics
- Inventory accuracy rate (target ≥ 99 %)
- On‑time shipment rate (target ≥ 98 %)
- Order pick‑and‑pack accuracy (target ≥ 99 %)
- Return processing time (e.g., ≤ 48 hours from receipt)
6. Work Environment & Schedule
- Warehouse setting: temperature‑controlled, well‑lit, can be busy/fast‑paced
- Typical hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30 am–5 :30pm (with occasional Saturdays)
- Lunch: 1 hour clocked out.
