Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Supervisor
Location: Inland Empire, CA (Primary Assignment: Moreno Valley)

District & Charter Patrol is seeking an experienced, professional, and motivated Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Supervisor to oversee vehicle patrol operations throughout the Inland Empire. This position is responsible for supervising vehicle patrol officers, conducting field inspections, responding to incidents, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring company policies and post orders are consistently followed.
This is a working supervisor position. The successful candidate must have proven experience leading by example, responding to emergencies, coaching employees, and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence in the field.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support vehicle patrol officers during assigned shifts.
- Conduct routine and random field inspections to ensure compliance with company policies, post orders, and client expectations.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, suspicious activity, and requests for supervisory assistance.
- Train, mentor, coach, and evaluate security personnel.
- Review incident reports for accuracy, professionalism, and completeness.
- Investigate employee performance concerns and document policy violations.
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and operational staffing needs.
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch, management, Human Resources, clients, and field personnel.
- Build positive relationships with clients through exceptional customer service.
- Conduct proactive patrols of commercial properties, shopping centers, business parks, and residential communities.
- Professionally address trespassing, loitering, and transient-related concerns using de-escalation, excellent customer service, and voluntary compliance whenever possible.
- Coordinate with property management and law enforcement when necessary while remaining within the authority of a California private security officer.
- Ensure company patrol vehicles remain clean, fueled, and properly maintained.
- Utilize Connecteam, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and mobile reporting applications daily.
- Complete detailed incident reports and supervisory documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card (Required).
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents within the past five (5) years.
- Minimum two (2) years of recent security experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of recent supervisory, field training officer, or post commander experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years vehicle patrol experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working shopping centers, commercial properties, business parks, or similar environments preferred.
- Experience professionally handling trespassing, loitering, and transient-related issues while maintaining a calm, respectful, and customer service-oriented approach is highly preferred.
- Experience scheduling multiple employees
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Comfortable using technology, scheduling software, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Connecteam, and mobile reporting applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to walk large commercial properties and conduct foot patrols as needed in any weather condition.
- Ability to climb stairs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle throughout the shift.
