Campus Safety Officer – School Site (Unarmed)
Location: Highland
MUST BE AVAILABLE: Monday – Saturday (Full-Time), varying start/ end time between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Campus Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools, hospitals, or with youth in a professional capacity. This role requires the ability to respond quickly to incidents, defuse conflicts, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations while documenting events thoroughly and accurately.

Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor campus premises to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
- Defuse altercations with professionalism, tact, and sound judgment
- Thoroughly inspect doors, windows, and gates to maintain site security
- Enforce campus rules and regulations, warning or escorting violators when necessary
- Accurately write and submit incident reports in a timely manner
- Identify and report safety hazards such as fire risks, leaks, or other facility concerns
- Request emergency personnel when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of RECENT full time security experience (school, hospital, or youth-related setting preferred)
- Proven experience in conflict de-escalation and incident response
- Strong written communication skills for incident report writing
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with security practices and equipment
- Physical ability to walk or stand (in any weather condition) for 8–10 hours per day
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
