What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant District Attorney position at District 2 District Attorney's Office?
OVERVIEW
The District Attorney's Office is seeking an Assistant District Attorney for the Beckham County Office to perform a variety of professional duties, specifically: prosecution of criminal offenses, including misdemeanors and felonies; handling of juvenile cases, including neglect, delinquency and child in need of supervision cases; providing legal services related to county government operations; and other duties assigned. Specific assignment of duties will vary based on experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience is not required, will consider newly licensed attorneys and those sitting for the July bar exam.
- Juris Doctorate from accredited law school.
- Admitted to and in good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association.
- Preference to live within one of the counties in District 2 (Beckham, Custer, Washita, Roger Mills and Ellis Counties) within a reasonable period of employment.
SALARY
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
