Domestic Operations Agent (Entry Level)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Entry‑Level, Weekend (Thursday – Monday) Domestic Operations Agent to join our team. As a Domestic Operations Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of domestic shipments. This position requires strong customer service skills, excellent organization, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Route daily shipments each evening to meet delivery requirements.
• Prepare shipping documents and schedule airline drops with drivers.
• Enter daily shipment data and routing information into SAP.
• Provide proactive communication to customers and internal operations teams throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Manage multiple shipments across various accounts without sacrificing service quality.
• Select the best routing options to ensure delivery timelines are met.
• Track and trace shipments and provide updates as needed.
• Communicate directly with drivers regarding pickups, deliveries, and route changes.
• Handle turnovers from the third shift/first‑shift operations team.
• Resolve in‑transit issues to ensure customer satisfaction (e.g., delays, breakdowns).
• Perform light warehouse duties, including labeling freight and dock checks.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.

Qualifications

• Entry‑level position; 1 year of transportation or logistics experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with SAP is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to assist with warehouse and operational tasks as needed.

Schedule

• Full‑Time, Entry Level
• Shift Option 1: Thursday – Monday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
