Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Floor Supervisor to lead our production team. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a technical mindset for workflow optimization and basic financial/logistic oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring that the production floor runs efficiently, safely, and within budget, while managing the movement of materials and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workflow Management: Analyze, create, and optimize production workflows to increase throughput and reduce waste. Balance line assignments based on priority and personnel availability.
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead a team of up to 10 employees. Responsible for training, performance evaluations, and maintaining a high-morale work environment.
- Logistics Oversight: Manage the flow of raw materials and finished goods. Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure inventory levels are accurate using internal software.
- Accounting & Cost Control: Monitor production costs, yields, and labor hours. Assist in basic budget tracking and identify areas for cost-saving through efficiency.
- Digital Documentation: Utilize basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Workspace, or WMS/ERP software) to record production data, draft reports, and communicate with upper management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement efficient work processes.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Basic accounting knowledge (understanding of P&L, cost-per-unit, and labor budgeting).
- Proficiency in Excel and general computer operation
- Basic Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree (minimum) in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the food processing or meat industry.
- References: Must provide at least three (3) professional references from previous workplaces, including at least one direct supervisor.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
