Recruiter

Distinctive Staffing Solutions is looking for an Engineering Recruiter to join our team and help grow the engineering side of our business.

We work with companies throughout Minnesota and nationally, helping them find engineering, manufacturing, and technical talent for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire positions.

We're looking for someone who enjoys recruiting, likes talking with people, and isn't afraid to pick up the phone and find candidates who aren't necessarily applying to job postings.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work directly with our Account Managers to understand what our clients are looking for and then go into the market and find the right people.

A typical day will include sourcing candidates, making recruiting calls, sending LinkedIn messages, interviewing candidates, presenting qualified people to our Account Managers, and managing candidates through the interview and hiring process.

You'll also spend time building relationships with engineers and technical professionals so that when the right opportunity comes along, you already know who to call.

• Mechanical Engineers
• Electrical Engineers
• Manufacturing and Process Engineers
• Controls and Automation Engineers
• Building Automation Engineers and Technicians
• Design Engineers
• Quality Engineers
• Project Engineers
• Maintenance and Reliability professionals
• PCB/SMT and electronics manufacturing positions
• Engineering Technicians
• Other engineering and technical positions

What We're Looking For

Staffing experience is important to us. We'd prefer someone who has recruited engineering, manufacturing, or technical positions, but we're also interested in experienced agency recruiters who have a track record of learning new markets and producing results.

You should be comfortable sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, our internal database, referrals, and direct outreach.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 4 years of recruiting experience
• Has staffing agency experience
• Is comfortable making outbound recruiting calls
• Knows how to find passive candidates
• Can interview and qualify candidates beyond simply matching keywords on a resume
• Is organized and can manage several open positions at once
• Communicates well with candidates and Account Managers
• Follows up and does what they say they're going to do
• Has a sense of urgency
• Is competitive and motivated by results

You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to be interested in learning the positions you're recruiting for. The better you understand what our clients need and what candidates actually do, the more successful you'll be.
