We're looking for a
Remodeling Sales Consultantto guide homeowners through the sales process, from first consultation to signed contract, using a consultative, educational approach. You'll help clients make confident decisions by bringing knowledge, clarity, and leadership to every conversation. This role is also tied to an upcoming retirement on the team, so we're looking for someone who can carry the process forward and help shape the next chapter.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with homeowners to understand goals, needs, and budgets
Conduct in-home consultations and present tailored remodeling solutions
Educate clients on scope options, tradeoffs, timelines, and what to expect
Build trust through clear communication, professionalism, and follow-through
Prepare accurate, detailed proposals and estimates (as applicable to your skill set)
Maintain an organized pipeline and follow up consistently
Collaborate with production/design to ensure smooth handoffs and client alignment
Keep accurate notes and activity tracking in CRM/sales systems
Represent Distinctive Remodeling with integrity at all times
Contribute positively to team culture and meetings
Qualifications
5 or more years of remodeling/home improvement sales experience
Strong understanding of remodeling processes, materials, and timelines
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Able to manage multiple prospects and deadlines reliably
Valid driver's license; comfortable traveling to appointments
Commute tolerance: ideally within ~40 minutes of the Greater Raleigh area (long commutes tend to burn out over time)
Experience with CRM and estimating software
Familiarity with DISC-style communication (we care about fit coachability)

Compensation & Benefits
Full-time, W-2 position
Base salary plus commission; typical total earnings: $120,000 to $150,000 (top performers can exceed this)
Compensation is expected to be a base performance-based commissions/production, with the exact structure finalized with the right hire
