The Activity Assistant is responsible for ensuring that residents have engaging, enjoyable activities to participate in. Some of their day-to-day job duties include:
- Brainstorming ideas for activities
- Soliciting feedback from participants to identify what worked well and what areas of improvement exist
- Keeping detailed records of activities to track participation
- Help keep residents entertained
- Create opportunities for socialization, exercise and creative thinking that can improve resident quality of life
- Provide opportunities for learning and enrichment

Education and Experience
- Creative thinking skills
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills to interact positively with other staff
- Problem solving skills to overcome obstacles before or during activities
- Written communication skills to compile participant surveys and activity reports
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
