A public accounting firm is looking for an experienced Tax Director to lead its 12-person tax team and help develop the practice.
This is a senior role combining technical review, team leadership, process improvement and client development. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the team works while staying closely involved with clients.
The opportunity
- Lead and develop a team of 12
- Review a broad range of individual and business tax work
- Oversee quality, deadlines and workflow across the team
- Put clear, effective processes in place
- Manage and develop senior client relationships
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new work
- Work with firm leadership on the direction of the tax practice
What they’re looking for
- Senior tax experience within public accounting
- Broad experience reviewing individual and business tax work
- Experience leading and developing a tax team
- Strong client relationship skills
- An interest in business development and practice growth
- The ability to improve processes and bring structure to a busy team
$275K–$325K base, depending on experience.
