The practice
• Defending physicians, hospitals, surgical centers and other healthcare providers
• Leading high exposure matters from investigation through trial
• Directing expert strategy and cross examining the other side's experts
• Mentoring associates who want to become med mal trial lawyers
• Hybrid, Miami, 1,950 billable hours
What the firm is looking for
• Florida Bar member with significant medical malpractice defense experience
• First chair trial experience
• Relationships with healthcare clients, carriers or risk managers are welcome but not essential
Business
A portable book is preferred, but it isn't required. Plenty of excellent med mal partners have spent their careers trying cases for clients someone else originated. The firm understands that and values trial skill accordingly.
Compensation
$200,000 , with the final figure negotiable depending on your book.
