We are seeking a Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our clients growing Tampa office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, with at least 3-5 years of experience handling a broad range of litigation matters. Key Responsibilities:
· Handle insurance defense cases from inception through trial, including personal injury, property damage, and other liability matters.
· Provide strategic legal counsel and defend clients in litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
· Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
· Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials, ensuring the best possible outcome.
· Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, including settlement discussions and trial preparation.
· Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders, ensuring consistent updates on case progress.
· Research and analyze legal issues to provide sound advice to clients.
· Maintain accurate and timely case files and billing records.
Qualifications:
· JD from an accredited law school.
· 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
· Strong knowledge of Florida insurance laws and regulations.
· Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
· Proven ability to manage a caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
· Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
· Admission to the Florida Bar.
Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
