Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality and efficiency, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a warehouse environment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible to pack and/or palletize all coffee product originating from one or more automatic machines. The key elements necessary for this position are DLC (Distant Lands Coffee) product knowledge, DLC Quality Assurance training, and DLC GMP training. This position is responsible for quality assurance (proper item/date coding), finished product appearance (correct labels and placement) and work area cleanliness.
KEY DUTIES:
- DLC product knowledge
- Basic understanding of all DLC items
- Box type, label type, pallet configuration
- DLC Quality Assurance knowledge
- Proper understanding of all DLC QA standards
- Accountable for all finished product packed
- Understanding of product coding and date/lot coding
- DLC GMP knowledge
- Completion of DLC GMP training
- Plant Environment
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Sweep work area regularly
- Ensure that all supplies are organized and stored in their proper place
- Ensure that all pallets used are not broken and in good condition
- Every employee has a responsibility to report employee safety, food safety and/or quality concerns to their Supervisor/Manager immediately upon identification.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
POSITION SKILL/COMPETENCY:
- Lift a minimum of 25 lbs. on a regular basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma required.
· Previous experience in a manufacturing facility a plus.
