Coffee Blender

This position is for swing shift - 12pm - 8:30pm Monday - Friday

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for preparing all green coffee for the Roasting area. This position is responsible for quality assurance (proper item/lot coding), paperwork completeness and work area cleanliness.

KEY DUTIES:

• Documentation of greens used, including lot code, item number and pounds used
• Responsible for reviewing item and batch quantities of green coffee
• Accountable for all green coffee sent to the roaster
• Responsible to adhere to the GMP policy
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Ensure that all supplies are organized and stored in their proper place
• Ensure that green coffee meets Company standards
• Every employee has a responsibility to report employee safety, food safety and/or quality concerns to their Supervisor/Manager immediately upon identification
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

POSITION SKILL/COMPETENCY:

• Pivot and pull/drag bags of coffee
• Perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time
• Work under strict deadlines
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Work well in a team environment

· Warehouse environment includes exposure to varying weather temperatures

· Personal and professional integrity

· Attention to detail

• Good communication skills
• Ability to use a forklift (training and certification provided)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility a plus
