Personal Video Content Assistant

We’re hiring a Personal Video Content Assistant to work directly with the CEO of Disruptor’s Media (serial entrepreneur/business owner/family man) and help build his personal brand: The Higher Road.

The Higher Road is mentorship for men who want exceptional financial success without sacrificing what actually matters: faith, family, integrity, and a strong home life. Think “ambition with values.” This content is a foil to more polarizing, extreme creator brands—still direct and practical, but grounded, principled, and worth building a life around.

Your job is to keep the content engine moving daily—capture a high volume of content, support podcasts and collaborations, and help route footage through our editing workflow.

Goal: Help grow the personal brand to 1M followers by end of 2026.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)Filming & Production (Primary)

• Follow the owner of the company throughout his day to capture:
• Short-form content (on-the-go, monologues, behind-the-scenes)
• Podcasts and interviews in our deluxe, in-office podcast studios
• Business events, meetings, collaborations, and lifestyle content (including home/property projects at times)
• Set up and operate equipment that we currently own in-house (we can train, but you must be capable and confident), such as:
• Cameras, lenses, tripods/gimbals
• Lighting setups
• Audio equipment (lavs, shotgun mics, podcast mics)
• Podcast/video systems and basic switching workflows

Content Operations (Secondary, but important)

• Organize footage and ensure files are properly saved, labeled, and delivered to editors
• Report content filming to the leadership managing the content editors and coordinate content needs (hooks, cuts, captions, thumbnails, etc.)
• Do light editing when needed (not the primary responsibility, but helpful)
• Maintain a consistent daily filming cadence (you’ll be expected to push Josh Patel for filming every day)

Guest Experience & On-Set Support

• Help coordinate podcast guests and ensure they have a great on-camera experience
• Support smooth production flow while Josh’s VA handles most scheduling

We’re open to training the right person, but you should have moderate to high comfort in videography and content workflows.

You might be a fit if you:

• Have experience filming content (personal brand, events, YouTube/podcasts, short-form, etc.)
• Can run a camera audio setup confidently (or learn fast and love learning)
• Are organized with files, naming conventions, and editor handoffs
• Can be mobile and ready to film on short notice during business hours

• Experience with short-form editing (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci)
• Podcast production experience
• Familiarity with content posting workflows, basic analytics, or content strategy

Compensation

$2,500–$4,000/month depending on experience and availability, with clear upside through benchmark-based raises.
