Display Champ Enterprises Inc. has multiple divisions. Display Champ is the home of the world's finest sports display cases. We make personalized acrylic display cases, with custom printed backgrounds and engraving, for the things people are proudest of: a hole-in-one golf ball, a home run baseball, a championship ring. Our sister brand, Bright Ivy, makes keepsakes for family milestones, like a baby's first hospital bracelet. We also have other brands launching soon. We are founded in the UK and recently opened our US workshop in Lakeland, Florida, and we're building the team here.
About the role
We're hiring a part-time Production Assistant to handle packing, shipping, and order fulfillment, keeping orders moving out the door and our shop running smoothly. You'll pack and ship customer orders, check products for quality, and help keep the workspace clean and organized.
No experience is needed. If you're reliable, careful, and want to learn, we'll teach you the rest, and this role can grow into hands-on laser and print work and, over time, leadership.
What you'll do
Packing and shipping
- Pick, pack, and label orders accurately using our packing standards
- Print shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup
- Double-check orders against packing slips before they ship
- Help receive and put away incoming supplies and materials
Quality control
- Inspect finished products for defects, damage, or errors before packing
- Clean and buff acrylic cases so they're ready to ship
- Set aside and report anything that doesn't meet our standards
- Follow QC checklists so every order goes out right
Production support
- Help with light production tasks, like sanding, oiling, and gluing bases and loading print jobs, following our step-by-step guides
Keeping the shop clean and organized
- Keep work areas, packing stations, and walkways clean and clear
- Restock packing materials and keep supplies organized
- Help with general shop upkeep, trash and recycling, and end-of-shift cleanup
Who we're looking for
You don't need prior experience. You do need to be:
- Reliable: you show up on time for the shifts you commit to
- Detail-oriented: you notice when something's off and care about getting it right
- A quick learner: you're comfortable following instructions and picking up new tasks
- Tidy and organized: you leave a space better than you found it
- A team player: you're happy to pitch in wherever help is needed
Physical requirements: stand and move for most of a shift, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice to have, not required: warehouse, retail, or shipping experience; interest in design, printing, or making things.
Schedule, pay, and perks
- Schedule: 15 to 25 hours per week, typically 3 to 4 weekdays. Shifts are flexible anywhere between 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday (daytime only). Part-time and per diem options are available, with more hours during the holiday season and as we grow.
- Pay: $16 to $18 per hour
- Perks: employee discount, flexible daytime scheduling, and paid training on our laser and print equipment for team members who show a knack for it
