What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager-Disney Imagination Campus position at Disneyland Resort?

The Sales Manager role for Disney Imagination Campus is focused on the travel trade for the student group travel market and Disney Performing Arts direct groups. This Sales Manager, will work with the Senior Sales Manager on the responsibility for approximately one third of the Youth National Accounts revenue goals collectively. In addition to being the subject matter expert for all Disneyland Resort Disney Imagination Campus programs. The person in this role executes 3rd party sales strategy, leveraging relationships with more than 30 top (Preferred, PremEar and Net) student travel planner clients. This Sales Manager handles all direct Performing Arts program and product training, FAMs, site inspections, group contracts and all client communication for the student travel professionals. Additionally, this person is the key integrator for internal relationships with Operations, Product/Pricing, Ticketing, Program Operations, Marketing, and Resort Operations for the Disneyland Resort. This Sales Manager represents Disney Imagination Campus at key industry trade shows and events. Individually, they will drive revenue for the team and flexible on the goals annually. Flexibility in scheduling is critical based on client demands.

Responsibilities :

  • Client relationships – ensure Travel Planner and direct school have the most current information and group opportunities at the Resort.
  • Collaborate with key internal partners to problem solve for unique client requests/needs.
  • Solution based Sales, negotiation skills, proficient with multiple computer systems, highly motivated and devoted to achieving objectives are all needed for success in this role.
  • Create and deliver program and product presentations
  • Travel for client events, tradeshows, sales calls. Flexibility with weekly schedule including evening and weekend events.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 -3 year experience Sales and/or theme park knowledge.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with clients, peers and DLR department departments to be a credible business partner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Create client presentations on available product and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management and work as a team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a flexible, fast paced work environment, balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers and provide conflict resolution.
  • Ability to conduct effective and productive planning sessions and manage timelines for all operating areas and client(s).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 year experience in sales and/or educational industry knowledge.
  • Understanding of the youth education industry.
  • Understanding Performing arts for students.
  • Ability to use consultative approach by discovering and matching guest needs with our products.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Disneyland Resort Theme Parks.

Required Education :
High School Degree or equivalent.

Preferred Education :
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
