Role Description The Senior Satcom Technician & Satcom Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Cheyenne, WY. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining satellite communication equipment, including ground stations, antennas, RF systems, modems, and related networking hardware. The position involves supervising day-to-day satcom operations, assigning tasks, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring all work follows safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The supervisor will monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and document all activities accurately. The role also includes collaborating with engineering, network operations, and field teams, supporting upgrades and deployments, training team members, and contributing to process improvements that enhance reliability and uptime of satellite communication services.

Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in satellite communication systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of RF equipment, antennas, modems, and ground station infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with network fundamentals related to satcom, such as IP networking, routing, switching, and system monitoring tools.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor technicians, manage work assignments, and ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and root-cause analysis for complex hardware and signal issues in satellite systems.
- Capability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and system diagrams, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to satellite communications and RF exposure.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and field teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Cheyenne, WY, including occasional off-hours, on-call, or field work as required.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field; professional satcom or networking certifications are a plus.
