Activities Director Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents
- Coordinate and lead activities, including but not limited to: arts and crafts, exercise classes, music therapy, and social events
- Collaborate with the therapy team to develop activities that support our rehabilitation services
- Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity evaluations
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment
- Participate in staffing meetings and contribute to the development of the care plan
- Provide administrative support to the activities program as needed
- 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility activities department or similar setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreational therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
