Kenner Discovery Health Sciences School seeks a Special Education Co-Teacher/Paraprofessional with a job-related Associate or Bachelor’s degree. This individual will partner with the special education lead teacher in the general and special education class setting supporting children with special needs in classrooms. The needs of these students include academic and social issues related to hearing loss, vision loss, autism, health impairments, language disorders, or cognitive weaknesses. Experience with delivering a variety of accommodations in multiple settings is an asset. Ability to collaborate with various teachers and school leaders and to be a strong advocate for student needs is required. School-related experience is desired. Trainings and workshops in the summer may be required. Position available August 2024.
