What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventionist - Literacy position at Discoveryhsf?
Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks an academic Reading Interventionist with a Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, and/or Curriculum & Instruction; Reading Specialist and/or middle school certification desirable; 3-5 years experience with small group academic support for middle school students with proven record of increasing literacy skills. A strong candidate will have an expertise in how to administer and analyze results from a wide-range of diagnostic assessments, experience with instructional coaching and pushing into classrooms is an asset. Knowledge of the Response to Intervention process is essential. Ability to work in collaboration with a wide array of teachers and school leaders is essential. Knowledge of the Louisiana Student Standards and the LEAP 2025 Assessments is required. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Position available now.
