SALARY RANGE: $65,000 to $75,000, based upon experience, with full benefits.
THE COMPANY: Discovery Capital is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue!
GROUNDS MANAGER POSITION:
We are looking for a Grounds Manager to oversee the grounds/landscaping efforts and related outdoor maintenance services for our portfolio of properties here in Columbia, Missouri.
GROUNDS MANAGER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Helps to plan future site development landscaping/irrigation needs
- Management of outdoor amenity spaces
- Responsible for management of all turf; mowing/trimming/fertilizer/weed control/seeding/aeration
- Responsible for landscaping; seasonal color plantings/trimming/pruning/tree and shrub replacement
- Manages irrigation systems; start-up/repair/winterizing
- Snow removal and ice management of commercial and residential areas
- Budget and manage in-house and 3rd party contractors for various grounds needs/projects
GROUNDS MANAGER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Technology or related field, preferred
- MUST HAVE: 3 years of grounds and landscaping experience
- MUST HAVE: Experience managing subcontractors, vendors and employees
- Self Starter
- Attentive to detail
- Takes pride in the overall appearance of property
- Works exceptionally well with a team and other management
