What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at Discovery Place Child Care Center?
Infant Teacher
Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together to:
- Develop lesson plans.
- Meet the individual's needs of the children
- Communicate with parents.
- Participate in staff and training meetings.
- Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
- Proper diaper changing children
- Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
- Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
- Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Build teamwork.
- Use assessment tools.
Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30, 11-6
Background Qualifying approval letter If do not have one please go to ncid.nc.gov to create an username then go to https://ncchildcarecbc.nc.gov/ to log in and fill out information. You will take printed forms to the sheriff department to get fingerprinted. (currently need an appointment at sheriff department so call and schedule).
CPR/First Aid certified
