What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stocking/Loading Associate position at Discovery Outlet?
Discovery Outlet is a Locally Owned & Operated Discount Variety Store. We have been in business since 2018, and currently have 3 locations in Tennessee: Hixson, East Ridge and Cleveland.
We have new and different merchandise arriving weekly. We offer prices starting at 20% less than traditional big box retail stores, and pass savings onto our customers. Our plan is to grow through retail commerce by offering quality name brand products at a discounted price. We are looking for additional Team members.
Our customers are met with a friendly smile at the register, see a neatly stocked sale floor, and receive assistance with finding their items of choice. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise.
- Build merchandise displays.
- Clean and organize.
- Set up displays.
- Load Merchandise into customers vehicles.
- Ability to work a rotating, flexible schedule.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Follows safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow merchandise presentation guides.
- Ability to stock merchandise.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Previous retail experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Frequent walking and standing.
- Bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Stock merchandise.
- Ability to push and or pull carts.
- Handle containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks.
- Lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds.
- Occasional climbing up to heights of six feet.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
