The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting both operational logistics and event-related projects across multiple departments, including the Sales Center, Temporary Office, Wild Kitchen, and Staff House. This position ensures that departmental needs are met through effective stocking, resource management, and coordination, while also supporting hospitality staffing for company events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and skilled at balancing day-to-day operational needs with project coordination.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Territory 1889 located in Lakeside, Montana.

Territory 1889 is seeking a full-time, year-round Operations Coordinator to join the Operations Department.

Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting both operational logistics and event-related projects across multiple departments, including the Sales Center, Temporary Office, Wild Kitchen, and Staff House. This position ensures that departmental needs are met through effective stocking, resource management, and coordination, while also supporting hospitality staffing for company events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and skilled at balancing day-to-day operational needs with project coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain office supplies such as snacks, beverages, toiletries, and other essentials.
  • Coordinate procurement, restocking, and vendor deliveries to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Conduct routine checks to confirm areas are organized, stocked, and ready.
  • Source and assist with screening, interviewing, and booking potential chefs, bartenders, and hospitality staff for company dinners and special events.
  • Partner with internal teams to confirm service requirements, menus, and event schedules.
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth execution and a positive member and prospect experience.
  • Assist with planning and executing operational and event-related projects.
  • Track timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder needs to support successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to align on project goals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, project coordination, hospitality, or events.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and hospitality/event logistics preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
