Position Overview
Discovery Kidzone Careers is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher for our Infant and Toddler program in Bozeman. This position works alongside the Lead Teacher to help create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for young children during their early developmental stages.
We are seeking dependable and caring individuals who enjoy working with children and supporting hands-on learning through play, routines, and responsive care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily supervision and care of infants and toddlers
- Support feeding routines, including bottle preparation and safe storage procedures
- Change diapers and assist with age-appropriate toileting routines
- Help lead engaging activities such as music, sensory play, movement, and story time
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain classroom routines for meals, naps, and activities
- Ensure children are supervised in a safe and supportive environment
- Communicate daily updates and important information with families
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and center leadership
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness and follow health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment
- Previous childcare experience is helpful but not required
- Interest in early childhood education and child development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks throughout the day
- Positive, patient, and dependable attitude
- Ability to complete all required state trainings and licensing requirements
