Assistant Preschool Teacher – 4 & 5 Year Old Classroom

We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team and support the Lead Teacher in a classroom of 4- and 5-year-old children.
This is an active, hands-on position for someone who loves working with young children and wants to be an important part of creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
The Assistant Teacher works closely with the Lead Teacher to support daily classroom routines, build meaningful relationships with children and families, and help implement a high-quality curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a warm, engaging, and well-organized classroom environment.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children while supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Actively engage with children during learning activities, play, small groups, outdoor experiences, and classroom routines.
- Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing the classroom curriculum and learning activities.
- Support children in developing independence, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and school-readiness skills.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support classroom routines, transitions, meals/snacks, and daily care needs.
- Communicate professionally and positively with parents and families.
- Partner with the Lead Teacher to share information about children's experiences, progress, and needs.
- Follow program policies, licensing requirements, and classroom procedures.
- Step in and take initiative when the Lead Teacher needs support.
- Contribute to a positive classroom culture where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Education & Experience
Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred. Early childhood education coursework, a CDA, or other relevant education is a plus, but we are willing to consider candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, work ethic, and passion for working with children.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a current Utah Food Handler's Permit.
- Must meet all applicable employment and childcare licensing requirements.
This is a full-time position.
