Duties
- Provide strategic leadership by developing and implementing long-term plans aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Oversee curriculum development to ensure high-quality, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate childcare programs across all ages.
- Lead fundraising initiatives to secure resources that support program expansion, facility improvements, and student services.
- Manage budgets effectively as an administrator, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining program excellence.
- Supervise center staff including teachers, administrative personnel, and support teams through performance evaluations, professional development facilitation, and personnel management.
- Ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to childhood development, special education law, and state operational policies.
- Facilitate instructional leadership by mentoring faculty, evaluating teaching quality, and promoting best practices in classroom instruction.
- Oversee center administrative functions such as legal compliance, safety protocols, facility management, and student enrollment processes.
- Cultivate a positive childcare culture by promoting teamwork, leadership development, and effective communication among staff members.
- Represent the organization at community events and public speaking engagements to advocate for quality child care initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a center director with a strong background in childcare administration.
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood education principles.
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets as an executive education administrator with experience in managing financial resources effectively.
- Strong understanding of state compliance regulations including special education law and childhood development standards.
- Exceptional management skills with experience supervising diverse teams within a K-6 or early childhood setting.
- Skilled in fundraising strategies to support organizational growth and program sustainability.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in public speaking and community engagement.
