Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Superintendent to oversee Residential construction projects from inception to completion. These projects are both new construction and renovations with additions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively supervise teams, manage resources, and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Manage project timelines using tools such as Primavera to ensure all milestones are met.
- Oversee the quality control processes to guarantee that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to review schematics and ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and safety protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in budgeting processes by tracking expenses and managing project costs effectively.
- Pull municipal permits by submitting all of the necessary paperwork and other submission requirements
- Able and willing to still perform manual tasks as needed for projects success and completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a similar role, preferably as a Project Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Word software for project scheduling and management.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Understanding of quality control principles in construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents related to construction projects.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Understands FEMA flood zones and building requirements in such zones.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ideally owns their own operable and insured truck with an open bed.
- Has basic construction tools for job site work and tasks that present themselves unexpectedly.
