What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Arrival Ambassador - Reception DCO position at Discovery Cove Orlando?
What you get to do:
- Greet guests and provide park information to our visitors
- Perform guest reservation check-in/check-out functions using computer
- Perform guest bag checks
- Maintain cleanliness of all park areas including trash removal and sweeping
- Quickly resolve guest challenges by providing exceptional guest service
- Distribute available lockers to our guests, while maintaining cleanliness of locker facilities
- Perform guest check-in functions for in-park activities
- Provide informational tours for small groups of up to 12 guests
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent guest service skills
- Cash handling skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to walk in sand
- Able to lift 30 pounds
- Able to push/pull 50 pounds with assistance
- Able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
- Available to work 2 full days per week
- Able to work shifts starting as early as 5:30 AM and ending as late as 11:00 pm (for special events)
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred
