What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Aide position at Discovery Central?
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- must pass an FBI comprehensive background check
- 1 year of experience working with young children that are not your own
- commitment of at least one school year
Job Responsibilities:
- care for all needs of students age 33 months and older
- understand and implement play based learning (we are willing to train)
- understand and implement our unique classroom standards as inspired by Reggio Emilia schools
- end of the day cleaning, general cleaning during the work week
- reading with children
- playing with children when invited to do so
- serving snack to children
- spending just under half of time with students outdoors spring, summer, fall, and winter
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
