You will play an active role in staff management and family communication, while also stepping into classrooms as needed to maintain a nurturing and consistent environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Development:
Leadership & Staff Development:
- Oversee, train, and mentor staff to maintain a positive, professional, and high-performing team.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and staff development programs.
- Ensure all staff meet licensing requirements and uphold center policies and standards.
- Model positive guidance, teamwork, and effective communication in the classroom.
Classroom Support (Floater Duties):
- Provide support across classrooms as needed, ensuring smooth transitions and consistent care.
- Engage directly with children during activities, playtime, and learning experiences.
- Maintain order, cleanliness, and organization in all areas.
- Assist with toileting, hygiene routines, meals, and nap time supervision.
- Support outdoor play supervision and promote physical and social development.
- Help with special projects, family events, and classroom activities.
Facility & Operations Management:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment.
- Assist the Director in daily administrative tasks and operational decision-making.
Parent & Community Engagement:
- Foster strong, positive communication between families and the center.
- Provide timely updates to parents regarding their child’s progress and classroom activities.
- Represent the center professionally in the community and at outreach events.
Qualifications:
- Experience in early childhood education, child care management, or staff training required.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of state child care licensing and safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask, lead by example, and provide consistent classroom support.
