Responsibilities:
- Lead group exercise classes, individual exercise classes for residents at Independent Living Facilities.
- Provide modifications for different fitness levels and abilities
- Maintain a clean and organized workout space before and after classes
- Build rapport with participants to encourage regular attendance
- Stay current with fitness trends and certifications
Qualifications:
- Current certification in group exercise instruction or as a personal trainer through an accredited organization preferred.
- Previous experience working with older adults preferred.
- Previous experience as a group or individual fitness class instructor preferred.
- Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have a current CPR certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skill proficiency. Ability to use Microsoft Windows.
Background Screening Requirement: Employment in Florida is contingent upon completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements.
