Duties

• Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
• Implement engaging activities that foster learning, creativity, and social skills aligned with early childhood education principles.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
• Support behavioral management by guiding children through positive discipline techniques and conflict resolution.
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices for childcare.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration while adhering to all licensing regulations for daycare or childcare facilities.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments.
• Knowledge of childhood development stages and early childhood education methods.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies.
• Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience, flexibility, and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to create a supportive environment for children’s growth.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and daycare operations. Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
