We are looking to hire a mental health professional at our facility in Long Beach, WA. The work setting is peaceful and offers a quiet setting different than any treatment facility in the pacific northwest. We are offering candidates a flexible schedule, meals included, and a caseload with a focus on client care.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the direction of the clinical component and assist in facilitation of organization- wide quality improvement and program development.
- Implement all policies and guidelines consistently
- Maintain facility standards and inform Clinical Director of any deficiencies
- Implement all facility health and safety standards
- Support line of authority and maintain positive attitude in work environment
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with staff and clients at all times and exercise maturity of judgment
- Follow through on all directives left by Clinical Director
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings/in service trainings
- Maintain documentation and clinical/ group notes following professional protocol and standard of care.
- Familiarization with client charts on ongoing basis, awareness of all pertinent client information
- Facilitate Group therapy sessions
- Knowledge of evidenced based practices
- Any and all other duties as directed by the Clinical Director
- Supportive crisis counseling with clients individual and group counseling as assigned or needed
- Assume responsibility for facility, staff, and clients in Clinical Director’s absence
- Obtain necessary release to confer with outside professionals regarding treatment of a client
- Upon admission verify that client has completed all assessments
- Within 24 hours of assignment to a client fill out Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan
- Every week update and review the Multidisciplinary Master Treatment Plan
- Help clients identify goals for treatment and bring suggestions to Treatment Team meeting
- Assist clients with development of discharge plans
- See assigned clients one time per week (unless increased frequency of session is indicated) for fifty minutes each session
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times
- Oversees and participates in the quality assurance and utilization review activities of the facility
- Knowledge of state regulations related to time frames for completion of documentation, including but not limited to: Biopsychosocial assessment, treatment plans, individual and group notes.
Qualifications/Required Experience:
- Masters Degree
- WA licensed (MFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.) or any Associate credential
- 2 years experience in an outpatient or residential substance use/co-occurring disorder treatment setting preferred
- Drug-free: no misuse of alcohol or drugs while employed
- Ability to write clearly and concisely to give direction and information to clients and to document anticipated and/or completed work with clients
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions
