The Sr. CostIQ Specialist serves as a strategic partner in owning, developing and leveraging the CostIQ platform to deliver advanced cost analytics, vendor pricing intelligence, and supply chain economic insights. This role manages and supports data-driven decision-making across sourcing, vendor negotiations, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.

The Sr. CostIQ Specialist serves as a strategic partner in owning, developing and leveraging the CostIQ platform to deliver advanced cost analytics, vendor pricing intelligence, and supply chain economic insights. This role manages and supports data-driven decision-making across sourcing, vendor negotiations, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis and Strategic Insight Generation
- Perform comprehensive cost analyses to identify savings opportunities and support account managers in cost reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate vendor cost proposals and model financial impacts to inform negotiation strategies and sourcing decisions.
- Utilize CostIQ to uncover market dynamics, SKU-level trends, and competitive benchmarks that shape pricing and procurement strategies.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to account managers and senior leadership to enable proactive responses to market shifts.
- Reporting and Data Visualization
- Design and deliver dashboards and reports that highlight cost trends, vendor performance metrics, and savings opportunities.
- Leverage visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau to communicate complex data in an accessible and impactful format.
- Procurement Data Ownership and Governance
- Own and manage procurement-related data assets, ensuring they are structured to support current and future analytical and AI use cases.
- Establish and enforce governance protocols for procurement data usage, access, and quality control.
- Standardize data formats to enable seamless integration and analysis.
- Serve as a foundational steward for AI-driven initiatives by ensuring data readiness and consistency.
- Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all data usage and analytical methodologies adhere to internal governance policies and compliance standards.
- Support audit readiness through best practice documentation of analytical frameworks and decision-making processes.
- Vendor Relations and Executive Support
- Act as a subject matter expert in vendor meetings, providing analytical support for negotiations and strategic discussions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of vendor runbooks.
- Lead execution of targeted vendor initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- A I Model Training and Data Optimization
- Lead the refinement and training of AI models within the CostIQ platform to enhance analytical precision and relevance.
- Oversee the validation and optimization of data inputs and outputs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with business logic.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity across all analytical processes.
- Oth er duties as assigned
- T his position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement analytics, cost modeling and data structures
- Advanced experience utilizing Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau for dashboards and cost analysis, in addition to data manipulation, and modeling.
- Familiarity with AI/ML model concepts (training, validation, data optimization)
- Proficient experience with SQL and Python
- Experienced with data governance and data quality management
- Procurement or supply chain analytics experience, ideally in a complex or multi-vendor environment
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, with a strategic mindset and ability to translate analytics into business impact
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent experience is required .
- Professional certifications are a plus.
