Discount Mattress & Furniture is opening a new retail location in Monroe, Michigan, and we’re looking for two motivated, personable, and ambitious sales professionals to help us build something special.
We’re not your typical furniture store. We offer incredible deals on mattresses and furniture, a relaxed shopping experience, flexible financing options, and products customers can take home the same day.
We’re looking for people who want more than just another hourly job. We want individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy helping customers, love making sales, and want to be rewarded for their success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Helping customers find mattresses and furniture that fit their needs and budgets.
- Building relationships with customers and delivering an outstanding shopping experience.
- Presenting financing options and additional products.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting showroom.
- Assisting with inventory, merchandising, and moving furniture when needed.
- Opening or closing the store and handling daily retail operations.
- Working together with your teammates to achieve storewide sales goals.
What We’re Looking For

- Someone who genuinely enjoys selling and helping people.
- Self-motivation, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- A team player who takes ownership and doesn’t need constant supervision.
- Someone comfortable working independently and making good decisions.
- Willingness to work weekends and some evening shifts.
- Previous sales experience preferred, especially furniture, mattresses, appliances, automotive, or wireless sales.
- Ability to assist with moving and arranging furniture safely.
Furniture experience is NOT required. We’re more interested in your attitude, ambition, and ability to connect with people.
Compensation & Growth Opportunities

- $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
- 2% commission on personal sales.
- Quarterly team performance bonus opportunities $500-$2500.

Schedule
- Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Retail hours include evenings and weekends.
