We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Sales team member to join our retail environment. Spanish speaking individuals preferred but not mandatory. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. Duties
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stock shelves as needed.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking items and monitoring stock levels.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage sales transactions effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems is an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
