Retail Associate - Merchandiser

Position Summary: Merchandiser is responsible for keeping the store clean, organized, fully stocked, and customer-ready. This role ensures products are accurately priced, properly displayed, and replenished according to Discount Freight & Grocery standards while maintaining a safe work environment and delivering an excellent shopping experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeping up to date on current prices in retail stores, while also ensuring that items are being priced correctly according to DFG’s cost and the retail value.
- Merchandise inventories to fully stocked conditions as needed.
- Maintain an excellent work environment by keeping shelves, display cases, and workstations clean and organized.
- Receive products in accordance with company delivery protocol.
- Create signs & labels according to Discount Freight & Grocery standards.
- Safely and efficiently operate a manual and electric pallet jack.
- Promote a culture of safety by leading, teaching, and reinforcing all company safety standards.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
EDUCATIONAL, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
