Patient Care Coordinator (Pharmacy Call Center)

Due to our rapid company growth, Discount Drug Mart is seeking multiple full-time, day shift, Patient Care Coordinators at our at our Closed Door Pharmacy Contact Center located in Avon Lake, OH.

We are seeking individuals with excellent customer service skills.

*NO NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS!*

The duties carried out includes:

• Performs order entry of prescriptions into the required pharmacy database
• Answering incoming phone calls and assist in contacting doctors and patients via fax or phone
• Completes third party insurance forms and other paperwork
• Checks in orders received from Discount Drug Mart and other vendors
• Follows Discount Drug Mart Contact Center etiquette when speaking with patients, customers, prescribers, and fellow employees
• Provides store support and trains new users on PioneerRx pharmacy software

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful passing of both an Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I) criminal records check and a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal records check
• Successfully register with the State Board of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Technician Experience a plus

All positions must successfully pass a pre-employment Background Check, Drug Screen and FBI/BCI Fingerprint Background Check. The FBI/BIC test may cost as much as $60 but candidates will be reimbursed with the results are received and the hiring process is completed.
