Medical Biller

Discount Drug Mart is currently looking for a Home Health Care Billing Specialist (Commercial) for our Corporate office in Medina, OH. This is a full-time, first-shift, hourly position.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in an office environment and familiar with billing and coding.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Confirm sales orders
• Send prior authorizations renewals
• Send CMN renewals
• Work account receivable denials
• Log CMN'S and PAR's
• Work front end rejects
• Print and mail HICFA'S
• Work monthly on hold reports (invoice, sales order, and patient)
• Phone calls with Patient and Insurance
• Follow up on insurance correspondence
• Voicemails and E-mail follow ups
• Identify bad serial numbers and verify claims prior to confirming

Requirements and Education:

• One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively any problems and concerns to supervisor that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing.
• Must have well-developed organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to independently within established policies and procedures.
• Ability to exercise judgment, tact and diplomacy.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must have proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to use Outlook.
• Must have a working knowledge of current home medical equipment products, services and payor source guidelines.
• Must be a team player
• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
