What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flooring Sales Associate position at Discount Dave's Carpet and Flooring?
Discount Dave’s Carpet & Flooring is looking to add to our team of flooring sales professionals. Customer service and sales skills are a must. While flooring experience is preferred, it is not required as on the job training will be provided. Pay includes hourly as well as commission.
Responsibilities
- Greeting clients, educating them on products, and assisting them with design needs.
- Working with clients to select products and schedule appointments.
- Performing measurements on job sites.
- Completing proposals, bids, and sales orders for clients.
- Building and retaining client relationships from inception to project completion.
- Effectively working with associates to complete daily company activities.
- Engaging in continual education to improve knowledge of industry products and practices.
- Assisting with cleaning and maintaining showrooms, products, samples, and displays.
Employer Preferences
- Basic knowledge of floor covering products (carpet, hardwood, vinyl, laminate and tile) is a strong benefit, but is not required as on the job training is provided.
- Customer service experience of some variety is a must. Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Effective time management and organization skills.
