Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior components using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct As needed tool use and carpentry tasks to repair or modify facility structures as needed.
- Maintain facilities equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Execute maintenance painting and building interior maintenance to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs efficiently.
- Lead or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed while delivering high-quality results.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical systems and repairing electrical equipment.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair with an understanding of plumbing schematics.
- Experience working with HVAC systems for repair, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely; familiarity with power tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated building systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system manuals confidently.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices within a facilities environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English with team members and vendors.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
