Job Summary:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.


To establish and maintain Department and Chapter Officer and Annual Financial Reports in accordance with DAV National Constitution and Bylaws; ensure reports are correctly input into the Membership Data Base.


Essential Functions:
  • Access, compile, gather and inspect the Department and Chapter reports to ensure they conform to guidelines set forth in the DAV National Constitution Bylaws and Regulations
  • Apply accurate information into the Membership Data Base
  • Communicate with Department and/or Chapter Officers to facilitate receipt of required reports
  • Correspond verbally and in writing with Departments and/or Chapters whose reports are not compliant
  • Note all changes in status (on hold, suspensions, revocations, trusteeship) of Departments and Chapters for reporting violations
  • Communicate effectively via email

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to type at a speed of 55 wpm accurately
  • Data entry experience required
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to think, analyze and resolve problems
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to organize work according to work load and time schedule with very little supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand Department and Chapter activities, after reasonable training, for accurate officer reporting
  • Ability to operate office equipment: calculators, printer, typewriter, copier and PC
  • Ability to maintain pleasant working relations with all levels of personnel
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • No Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Physical Demands: Job requires sitting up to eight hours a day and standing two to four hours a day. Body movement primarily in hand and arm functions associated with normal office activities. Hand and eye coordination, and hand dexterity are required for handwriting and keyboarding over prolonged periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires occasional lifting and/or carrying of no more than 25 pounds, and bending, squatting pushing and pulling.
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
