Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas
- Handle cleaning equipment
- Use appropriate chemicals safely for sanitation purposes while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items
- Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
