Local, veteran-owned junk removal company looking for a hard worker to join the crew.
We're Dirty South Junk Removal. We're Marine veterans, we're local, and we haul junk for homeowners, property managers, and businesses all over Middle Tennessee. We're growing and we need another good person on the truck.
This is real work. You'll be lifting, hauling, driving, and dealing with customers face to face. It's not a desk job and it's not for everybody. But if you show up on time, work hard, and treat people right, you'll make good money here and you'll be treated like a person, not a number.
Most of our guys average around $25/hour once tips are counted. Our customers tip well because our crews do good work.
What you'll be doing
- Driving our truck and trailer to job sites around Middle Tennessee
- Loading and unloading furniture, appliances, construction debris, yard waste — whatever the customer needs gone
- Talking to customers, walking the job with them, and being the face of our company at the door
- Sorting loads for donation, recycling, and disposal at the transfer station
- Keeping the truck, trailer, and equipment clean and taken care of
- Working with your crew partner to get through the day's jobs safely and on schedule
What we're looking for
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a truck pulling a trailer (or willing to learn — we'll train the right person)
- Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and be on your feet all day
- Show up on time, every day. That's the big one.
- Friendly with customers — you're in their driveway and their living room
- 18 or older, and able to pass a background check
- No CDL required
Nice to have (not required): box truck experience, moving or hauling background, construction or landscaping work, Spanish.
